	Lieutenant Dennis C. Leahey Lieutenant Dennis Leahey started his career with the Burrillville Police Department as a Patrolman in 1987. He was promoted to Sergeant in 1994 and has supervised every shift in the department, the past several years as the day shift supervisor. Lt. Leahey was promoted to Lieutenant in June 2011 and serves as the Night Patrol Commander. Lt. Leahey has earned a Bachelor's degree from Providence College and attended the Bryant University Institute for Police Leadership Development. He has been an instructor for the Rhode Island Municipal Police Academy specializing in Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault and is considered by many an expert in this field. Lt. Leahey is the Training Coordinator for the Burrillville Police and is certified as an instructor in Use of Force, TASER, and baton. Lt. Leahey is the former Team Leader of the Special Response Team and the Past President of the RI Law Enforcement Trainers Association. Email: Dleahey@burrillville.org
