\PUBLIC HEARING of the Town Council to be held Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at 7:00 P.M. in the Council Chamber, Town Building, Harrisville for and within the Town of Burrillville.

PRESENT:  Council President Nancy F. Binns, Councilors Wallace F. Lees, Kevin M. Blais, Margaret L. Dudley, John M. Karmozyn Jr., Norman C. Mainville and Cynthia L. Roe

MEMBERS ABSENT:  


Relative to amendments to the ordinances of the Town of Burrillville, 2004 revision, as amended, Chapter 26 entitled Traffic and Motor Vehicles:
§26-1.  One-way streets
§26-3.  Speed Limits
§26-32.         No parking schedule of streets
§26-35.         Stop signs

NOTE:  The above was duly advertised in the Legal Section of the Woonsocket Call on Wednesday, April 4, 2007.

7.      Consider and take action on amendments to the ordinances of the Town of Burrillville, 2004 revision, as amended, Chapter 26 entitled Traffic and Motor Vehicles,
        §§26-1,26-3, 26-32 and 26-35:

The Town Council of the Town of Burrillville hereby ordains as follows:

Chapter 26, Traffic and Vehicles, Article I, In General  

§26-1. One-way streets. is hereby amended as follows:

Repeal:         Sayles Avenue, northerly direction, on Saturday between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. in the Village of Pascoag, between intersection Frank H. Potter Memorial Bridgeway and Sayles Ave., and intersection of Irving Ave. and Sayles Ave.;

Repeal:         Sayles Avenue, northerly direction, on Sunday between 7:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon,  in the Village of Pascoag, between intersection Frank H. Potter Memorial Bridgeway and Sayles Ave., and intersection of Irving Ave. and Sayles Ave.;

Repeal: Old Hillside Drive, north and then easterly direction at all times from the period commencing 12:00 a.m. of May 1 of each year until 12:00 p.m. of September 1 of each year, from intersection of Black Hut Road to intersection of Spring Lake Road

§26-3. Speed limits. is hereby amended as follows:

Add:            Old Hillside Drive      entire length           10 miles per hour
                Whitney Lane            entire length           15 miles per hour

Chapter 26, Traffic and Vehicles, Article II Parking, Stopping and Standing is hereby amended as follows:

§26-32. No parking schedule of streets, is hereby amended as follows:

Add:    Conley Lane, west side, located in the Village of Harrisville, from Chapel Street to Callahan School Street

§26-35.  Stop signs is hereby amended as follows:

Add:    (b)(11)         The southeast corner of Black Hut Road at the intersection of Spring Lake Road
        (b)(12) Grove Lane at the intersection of Centennial Street
        (b)(13) The intersection of Mapleville Main Street and Sand Hill Road

The ordinance shall take effect ten (10) days after passage.
