04-23-08 Town Coucnil - Public Hearing
PUBLIC HEARING of the Burrillville Town Council to be held Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at 7:00 P.M. in the Council Chamber, Town Building, 105 Harrisville Main St., Harrisville for and within the Town of Burrillville.

PRESENT:  Council President Nancy F. Binns, Councilors Wallace F. Lees, Kevin M. Blais, Margaret L. Dudley, John M. Karmozyn Jr., Norman C. Mainville and Cynthia L. Roe

MEMBERS ABSENT:

Relative to considering and acting on the following proposed changes to the Revised General Ordinances of the Town of Burrillville:

The Town Council of the Town of Burrillville hereby ordains as follows:

The Revised General Ordinances, Town of Burrillville, RI, 2004, Chapter 30. entitled Zoning,  §30-208. Rural residential compounds. are hereby amended as follows:

§ 30-208(d), Density calculation and dimensional regulations is amended by adding the following:  

(3)     The requirements of this ordinance cannot be utilized contemporaneously with any other subdivision such as a minor or major subdivision for the purpose of increasing the density allowed under section (d)(1) above.

and §30-208(5)(1) is hereby revoked and replaced with the following:

(e)     General requirements.    
(1)     A parcel proposed for development as a residential compound shall have frontage on a town-accepted street. Such frontage shall be a minimum of 50 feet. This provision is intended to accommodate legal non-conforming lots with substantial backland but only minimum frontage and shall not be construed as a means of increasing the density allowed under section (d)(1) above.

This ordinance will take effect upon passage.

NOTE:  The notice of hearing was advertised in the legal section of the Woonsocket Call on, April 2, 9, and 16, 2008.
