REGULAR MEETING of the Burrillville Town Council to be held Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at 7:00 P.M. in the Town Council Chambers, 105 Harrisville Main St., Harrisville for and within the Town of Burrillville.

PRESENT:  Council President Nancy F. Binns, Councilors Wallace F. Lees, Robert A. Bishop, Margaret L. Dudley, Kevin D. Heitke, John M. Karmozyn Jr. and Norman C. Mainville.

MEMBERS ABSENT:

2.      That the question of accepting the minutes of the regular meeting held June 10, 2009; and the special meeting held June 8, 2009; and the question of dispensing with the reading of said minutes be now taken up.

09-187  Application from Betty Wilkinson for a new Annual Kennel License to apply at 284 Iron Mine Road (Assessor’s Map 44, Lot 13); to be considered and acted on.

09-051  Correspondence from the Screening Subcommittee regarding their recommendations for appointments to the committee established relative to long-term options for rubbish and recycling.

09-172  FY 2010 Operating Budget: Consider and act on possible adjustments to the resolution adopting the FYE June 30, 2010 Operating Budget.

8.      New Business to be considered and acted on:

09-188  MOTION to appropriate $114,000 in interim funding for Whipple Avenue Landfill Construction Phase Services, from the capital improvement budget, which will be reimbursed when the bond proceeds are received; to be considered and acted on.

09-189  MOTION to declare surplus a 2001 Ford Taurus, VIN #1FAFP53U11; to be considered and acted on.

09-190  First reading of proposed amendments to the revised general ordinances of the Town of Burrillville, RI, 2004, Chapter 26, §§26-3. Speed Limits, 26-32. No parking schedule of streets, 26-34. Loading Zones, and 26-35. Stop Signs; for scheduling of a public hearing.

09-191  Application from Kathleen Thibault for reappointment to the Juvenile Hearing Board; to be referred to the Screening Subcommittee.

09-192  Resignation of Jacqueline Zahn from the Board to Canvassers.
