9-9-9 Regular Council Meeting
REGULAR MEETING of the Burrillville Town Council to be held Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at 7:00 P.M. in the Town Council Chambers, 105 Harrisville Main St., Harrisville for and within the Town of Burrillville.

PRESENT:  Council President Nancy F. Binns, Councilors Wallace F. Lees, Robert A. Bishop, Margaret L. Dudley, Kevin D. Heitke, John M. Karmozyn Jr. and Norman C. Mainville.

MEMBERS ABSENT:

2.      That the question of accepting the minutes of the regular meeting held August 26, 2009; and the question of dispensing with the reading of said minutes be now taken up.

09-243  MOTION to adopt a proclamation in recognition of Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, as requested by the Providence City Council; to be considered and acted on.




09-244  MOTION to adopt a proclamation recognizing Finance Director John P. Mainville, Treasurer Mark A. Adams, and the staff of the Finance Department for the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting, FY2008; to be considered and acted on.

09-249  Applications from Allan E. Low, Jr. and David L. Marcotte for reappointment to the Recreation Commission; to be referred to the Screening Subcommittee.




09-250  MOTION that the November 11, November 25 and December 23, 2009 regular meetings be cancelled; and that a public hearing to consider annual licenses and a special meeting be scheduled for Wednesday, November 18, 2009; to be considered and acted on.
