MEETING of the Senior Center Feasibility Study Committee to be held Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. in the Town Building, 105 Harrisville Main St., Harrisville.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Ronald Blanchard, Shirley Hodson, Albert Lapierre, Raymond Menard and Mona Minutelli
MEMBERS ABSENT:
Business to be considered and acted upon:
1. That the question of approving of minutes of the regular meeting of the Senior Center Feasibility Study Committee held on June 3, 2009; and the question of dispensing with the reading of said minutes; be now taken up.
2. Unfinished business:
A) Discuss response from Jonathan B. Loring of the June Rockwell Levy Foundation regarding Levy Foundation grant application.
1) Include possibility of reapplying with the intent of using grant funds for purposes other than public relations.
2) Discussion of funds currently available to the committee.
3. Review/consider/act on pending issues:
A) Correspondence from Louise R. Phaneuf, Town Clerk, relative to requirements under state law for ballot question advocacy and reporting.
B) Correspondence from O'Hearne Associates, Slatersville, RI
1) Criteria for requests for proposals for architects
2) Work accomplished to date by Raymond Menard relative to the proposed center
C) Ballot advocacy
1) Committee plans for advocacy
2) Opponents efforts to date
4. Review and discuss the items proposed for future meetings.
5. Adjournment.
