The Zoning Board of Review has all of the powers specified in state law (§45-24-57), including but not limited to hearing and deciding zoning appeals, authorizing variances in the application of the zoning chapter, authorizing special use permits, and referring matters to the planning board, or to other boards or agencies of the town as they may deem appropriate, for findings and recommendations. Members are appointed by the Town Council according to Town Charter.
The Zoning Board meets the second Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in the Town Council Chambers. The Zoning Board agenda deadline is one month prior to meeting in Zoning Official's Office.
