Burrillville's many streams and rivers fed the dozens of mills throughout the town. The mills are gone, but these waterways and the remnant mill ponds are habitat for trout, pickerel, largemouth bass and other gamefish. The following areas have public boat launches as well as bank fishing.

This great fishing spot on the Clear River includes parking, a boat ramp, and good bank fishing. Located on Sherman Farm Road (Rte. 96), minutes from the village center of Harrisville. The Clear River is stocked in the spring. Boat launch available.
 Round Top Management AreaRte. 96

Round Top and Little Round Top, connected by Round Top Brook, are seasonally stocked with trout. Plenty of parking. No boat launch here, but kayaks and canoes are easily dropped in Round Top Brook. Round Top is located on Round Top Road (Rte. 96) in Harrisville.
 Spring Lake Fishing AreaBlack Hut Road

Spring Lake, an eighty-acre lake along Black Hut Road and Spring Lake Road, offers pristine beauty for bank and boat fishing. From Rte. 102 (Bronco Highway), turn onto Joslin Road. Turn left onto Spring Lake Road, and left again onto Black Hut Road.
 Union PondReservoir Road

Union Pond is a tranquil 8-acre pond on the north end of Reservoir Road in Pascoag. The parking lot includes a concrete boat ramp and handicapped accessibility.
Tarkiln Pond

This fourteen-acre pond created by the remnant stone waterfall of one of the oldest mills in town is stocked seasonally with trout. No boat ramp available but bank fishing is good for the whole family. From Rte. 102 (Bronco Highway) turn right on Lapham Farm Road to Victory Highway. Turn left onto Victory Highway and then right onto Mapleville Main Street at George's Autobody. Turn left onto Tarkiln Road for approximately five miles to Tarkiln Pond.

Those areas that receive additional stocking in the fall are designated by the letter "F" in the last column. The numbers in parentheses indicate the following: (1) Fly fishing only; (2) State-owned or controlled public access; (3) Minors fourteen (14) years of age and younger ONLY.
