	Code Red Emergency Notification System The Code Red system is primarily used in public safety situations when the need arises to get a message quickly to particular areas of town or to broadcast a general emergency. This emergency notification system contains all of the telephone numbers for Burrillville, both listed and unlisted. This information was obtained from the State of Rhode Island’s E-911 system and will be updated on an ongoing basis. When an emergency notification needs to be placed there are several ways to target who will receive the call based upon the nature of the information or situation. We can designate that all telephone numbers in the town be contacted, or if the information relates only to a small section of the town, calls can be placed only to certain addresses that are within the affected areas. Residents may also add an alternate, or second, telephone number into the Code Red system. Adding a second phone number will cause both the primary and alternate phone numbers to be contacted. The second number could be your cell phone or your work number. If you wish to add a second number, go the Burrillville website, www.burrillville.org, choose Code Red under the Residents tab at the top of every page, or follow this link to the Community Notification Enrollment website. You can also call the Town Manager’s office at 401-568-4300, ext. 115 or fill out a form at the Town Clerk’s Office to add the second number. The telephone numbers contained in the Code Red system will not be shared with, or given, to any other agency or business, nor will they be used for telemarketing or third party purposes.
