JOINT WORKSHOP of the Burrillville Town Council and Glocester Town Council held Monday, September 15, 2008 in the Glocester Town Council Chambers, 1145 Putnam Pike, Chepachet.
PRESENT:
Burrillville Town Council: Council President Nancy F. Binns, Councilors Wallace F. Lees, Kevin M. Blais, Margaret L. Dudley and John M. Karmozyn Jr.
ABSENT: Councilor Norman C. Mainville was excused; Cynthia L. Roe was absent.
Glocester Town Council: Council President Steven A. Sette, Councilors Michael C. Joyce, Charles M. Poirier, William E. Reichert and Kevin P. Walsh
Others Present: Brian Bicki, Kevin Menard and Leo Plouffe of the Upper Dam Association
Relative to discussion and consideration of the proposed multi-municipal dam management district.
Glocester Council President Steven A. Sette led those present in pledging allegiance to the flag.

At the request of Council President Sette, members of the Upper Dam Association made a presentation providing an overview of the proposed ordinance. The presentation was followed by a question and answer session and general discussion of the proposal.
The Town Councils agreed that subsequent steps would be to decide whether to forward the proposal for first reading and whether public hearings would be scheduled. It was suggested that two joint hearings might be appropriate.
The workshop adjourned at 8:00 P.M.
