Definition, Purpose and Location
A Planned Unit Development (PUD) is a project developed by a single owner or a group of owners and is planned and developed as a comprehensive site. The mix and orientation of the allowed uses in a PUD are to be compatible within the proposed development. The intent of this ordinance is to encourage development that promotes a harmonious variety of uses within a concentrated area thereby providing developers with development options not ordinarily allowed through conventional zoning.
