MEETING NOTES

Others Present:
1) Approval of February 25, 2002 minutes. Unanimous.
2) Discussion regarding the rewriting of the town employment application – Valerie suggestion for Personnel Board retreat to go over this item and the rewriting of Town wide job descriptions. Date selected: July 25th, 1-5pm, Council Chambers.
3) Discussion regarding the hiring protocol of Probationary police officers.
a. Saturday, June 15th, 8am will be the agility test at the Lincoln campus of CCRI.
b. Discussion regarding the Burrillville Police Department involvement in the hiring process. – Jim Moran will meet with Michael Wood to discuss this.
c. Letters to be sent out ASAP regarding testing date and applicable information. The physical performance test sheet will be changed from requiring witnesses, to requiring a notary signature.
4) Discussion regarding rewriting town wide job descriptions. – This item to be included in a retreat for the Board.
5) Discussion regarding the base wage increases – FY2003 Budget as proposed by the Town Manager. Jim Moran to meet with the Town Manger regarding this topic and report back to the Board.
6) Approval of Providence Journal and RI News Group expenditures – both for Probationary Police Officer job announcement.
7) Next meeting changed from Monday May 20, to Tuesday, May 21 at 5:00 pm.
