 The American Red Cross has launched it's National Preparedness Hotline. Callers who dial 1-866-GET INFO will be provided with disaster safety and preparedness information. The hotline offers easy to understand information as well as peace of mind for anyone looking to prepare for any type of disaster. More that 100 trained volunteers from Red Cross Chapters across the country will be answering calls, providing common-sense information and referrals for anyone seeking advice on personal and family safety. Located in northern Virginia, the national call center will be open from 8:00am to midnight (EST) seven days a week and bilingual operators (English-Spanish) are available. | |
