Junior Achievement classes were taught for the first time in 1997 by Burrillville Police Officers. This was also the first time in Rhode Island that police officers were involved in teaching Junior Achievement since the program began. Officers volunteered their time and the program was a great success. Lt. John Connors and Lt. Larry Guglietta taught Junior Achievement to second and third graders at the William L. Callahan School in
Harrisville. This program will continue to be a great success for the students and the officers involved.
