The Communications Officers or "Dispatchers" as they are also known; are the backbone of the police department. These individuals receive all calls for service from the Rhode Island E-911 center and the public, make the decision as to what type of response is necessary and then make sure the proper assistance is dispatched. The Burrillville Police Communications Division is responsible for all emergency service dispatch for the Town of Burrillville. These officers not only dispatch police officers, they also dispatch fire, rescue, and emergency management personnel. Many of our communications personnel have duel roles in the Town of Burrillville; Gingell, Biddiscombe, Lapierre, Mansolf, and Gately are also active or retired firefighters. Dispatcher Richard Lapierre who is a Decon
also serves as the Police Department Chaplain.
