Lt. John Connors began preparing his career in Law Enforcement by joining the Police Explorer Program in the Woonsocket Police Department, during his four years in high school. He then worked as a Park Police Officer in Lincoln Woods State Park for two summers before being accepted to the Burrillville Police Department in March of 1989. Lt. Connors earned an award for Bravery in 1993 for saving the lives of two people from a house fire while patrolling the third shift.
Lt. Connors obtained a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice in 1990. He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in March of 1995. He earned his Masters degree in Criminal Justice Administration in May of 1996. Lt. Connors was promoted to his current rank in December of 1997.
