MEETING MINUTES

1) Reviewed a proposal for services with Scott Gibbs of NEEDS. Scott made a presentation. Members asked questions and had general dialog. The members will review the scope of services and the proposal document more thoroughly and consider it again at the next meeting.
Walter Kane was asked if we had to solicit additional proposals and he stated no.
2) Walter Kane was present to explain the legal/technical issues regarding the agency s creation, duties and responsibilities, including it s mission.
Note: The members have previously received the enabling legislation, the comprehensive plan, resolution creating the agency and other pertinent documents/materials. Tim Kane was ill and unable to attend, but Tim will be the solicitor representing the Agency.
3) Members discussed possible areas of Town for consideration. General discussion followed with no decisions or votes. Each member is to create a list of possible sites (areas) and send it to the Town Manager s Office. Manager s Office will compile a master list of potential sites for review at the next meeting. .
4) Members chose to hold off visiting another Redevelopment Agency until this group gets more information and more focus.
5) Formal organization of the committee was discussed. Will hold off until all members are present, but it should be considered shortly (within the next few meetings).
6) Minutes of meeting held April 19, 2001 were approved.
7) Minutes of meeting held May 30, 2001 were approved.
8) Meeting adjourned at 8:53 pm.
