The Whipple Ave Compost Facility is open for the 2010 season for Burrillville Residents
SPRING (April & May)
Wednesday & Saturday – 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
SUMMER (June, July & August)
Wednesday – 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
2nd & 4th Saturday – 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
FALL (Sept, Oct & Nov)
Wednesday & Saturday – 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
Please note, only the following items are allowed at the Compost Facility:
- Yard Waste (brush must be 4” diameter and cut if 5’ lengths or less
- Mattresses & Box Springs
- Rigid Plastic – children’s toys, vacuums, hose reels, lawn furniture, etc…
- Scrap Metals – bicycles, rims, lawn mowers (drained of fluids) grills (cleaned) pipes, exercise stations & other items that will not fit in the blue bin
- Electronics – TVs, computers, microwaves, stereos & other items containing CRT
- Tires – must be off the rim, limit 4
- Christmas Trees – first two Wednesdays & Saturdays of January ONLY. Trees must be free of tinsel & ornaments. NO PLASTIC BAGS PERMITTED.
Residents are reminded that the Compost Facility is NOT A DUMP OR TRANSFER STATION. Please do not bring any construction waste, solid waste, hazardous waste, or any material that is not accepted at the facility.

Tires - $7.00
Oversized Tires - $75.00
Mattress & Box Spring - $10.00 each
