SET OUT:  Residents are asked to put their trash and recyclables curbside no more than 24 hours before and no later than 6:00 am on your scheduled collection day.  Containers must be placed no further than five (5) feet from the curb.

TRASH:  Once a week, on your specified day, you may place your trash in bags or barrels on the curbside for collection.  Each houshold is permitted either four (4) bags or barrels of refuse and one bulky item per week such as couch, chair, desk, rolled carpets & rugs, household furniture, etc.  Bags smaller than 30 gallons will be counted individually unless placed in a barrel or bag up to 30 gallons.  Carpets and rugs must be cut into 4 ft lengths, rolled, and stacked neatly at the curbside with the trash.

APPLIANCES REQUIRE A SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT.  PLEASE CALL COASTAL RECYCLING AT 1-800-266-3188 TO SCHEDULE A PICK UP.  THIS SERVICE IS FREE OF CHARGE.

Cardboard Boxes used as garbage containers will be emptied out as garbage containers and will NOT be recycled, nor will they be collected with the garbage.  Residents disposing of cardboard boxes must cut the cardboard int 30" squares and set aside with the recylables in the green bin or bundled along side the green bin.  Cardboard not broken down into manageable 30-in+/- squares will not be collected.

RECYCLABLES:  Once a week, on your specified day, you may place your recyclables on the curbside for collection.  Recyclables must be placed in the blue and/or green bin for collection.  The blue bin is for glass bottles, cans, milk & juice cartons, and plastic bottles with the 8272010_15929_0.png & 8272010_20146_1.png symbol on the bottom.  The green bin is for newspapers, cardboard, and mixed papers.  If you need additional or replacement bins, they may be purchased for $6.00 each at the Department of Public Works.

BULKY ITEMS MAY BE PLACED AT THE CURBSIDE UP TO 24 HOURS BEFORE THE COLLECTION DAY.
