Televisions, Computer Monitors, Microwaves and CRT Electronics

Televisions, computer monitors, microwaves and electronic wastes containing cathode ray turbes are banned from the Central Landfill and are NOT collected by the Town's waste hauler. These items are considered Universal Waste and can be collected by the town and disposed of properly.
The town accepts televisions, computer monitors, microwaves and electronic wastes containing cathode ray tubes (CRT's) at the Whipple Avenue Compost Facility during regular hours of operation. Once the facility is closed for the season, these items will accepted BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Residents may call the Public Works Department at 568-4440 to make arrangements.
Otherwise, residents may take their Televisions, Computer Monitors, Microwaves and CRT containing electronic devices to the Central Landfill located in Johnston. For more information on computer disposal at the Central Landfill click here.
