Large Metal Items: Any Large Metal Item that will not fit in the blue bin can be brought to the Whipple Avenue Compost Facility and dropped off in the Scrap Metal Bin during normal hours of operation. NO CAR PARTS CONTAINING ANY FLUIDS, OILS, LUBRICANTS OR OTHER VEHICULAR FLUIDS ARE ACCEPTED IN THE METALS BIN. (IE; ENGINE BLOCKS, TRANMISSIONS, REAR END AXLES, ETC.)
*Some examples of irregular sized metals include: push lawnmowers (drain oil & gas first), barbecue grills (cleanout brickets), metal cabinets, metal desks, bicycles, exersice equipment, metal doors, pipes, lawn/beach chairs, strollers, etc.
