Why did I receive a Green or Yellow Tag?


	GREEN TAG: You received a Green Tag because unacceptable items were placed curbside for collection, or your recyclables were not properly sorted. Please follow the directions on the Green Tag for proper disposal of the unacceptable items. How do I dispose of items that are not collected curbside? YELLOW TAG: You received a Yellow Tag because you did not have recycling bins placed curbside with your trash. Beginning December 1, 2010, all households are required to put out at least one properly sorted recycle bin alongside their trash. Bins MUST be left out until the trash has been picked up. Acceptable recycle bins include either a blue or green bin, or any container with an "Extra Recycling" sticker. If your trash was not collected because you received a Yellow Tag you must hold the trash until next week or bring it to the Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation (RIRRC).
