There will be NO TRASH or RECYCLING collection on Monday, May 27th due to the Memorial Day Holiday.
Trash and recycling collection will be delayed on day for the remainder of the week.
The Whipple Ave Recycling and Compost Facility will be open on Saturday, May 25th from 9am - 1pm.
Updates and changes will be posted on this page and left on the Recycling Coordinator's voicemail 568-4440 x12.
Automated Collection Tips:
All trash and recyclables must be in Town provided carts
Place one cart on each side of the driveway OR place carts 3 feet apart
Place carts no more than 3 feet from the curb or road edge
Trash and Recycling Carts are the property of the Town
No markings are permitted on the cart other than in the white address label on top
Arrows on cart lid face the street
Cart lids must be closed with no material sticking out
No material may be placed on top of the cart lid
Town Ordinance requires all residents to recycle, however you no longer have to put out both carts each week - you can put out just one or both as needed
Cart Exchanges:
If you would like to exchange your trash or recycling cart for a larger or smaller cart, please bring your 65 gallon carts to DPW to exchange them. There is no charge to exchange for a smaller trash or recycle cart, or a for a larger recycle cart. There is a $50 one time fee to exchange your 65 gallon trash cart for a larger trash cart. DPW summer hours are Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3:00pm **Cart exchanges are subject to availability**

Where can I donate my gently used items?
The Town of Burrillville participates in the statewide Maximum Recycling Program.
This web page is designed to inform residents of when your weekly collection is scheduled, trash collection information and changes, what you can and cannot recycle, Town recycling regulations, and how you can receive more information on recycling and recycling programs.
