1. Comments:
Michael C. Wood, Town Manager, pointed out that this amendment has been reviewed by the ordinance subcommittee, which unanimously supported it. He stated that the purpose is to bring the Town ordinance in compliance with State legislation. Walter J. Kane added that the State act states that, if a town adopts a Soil & Erosion Ordinance, it must, at a minimum, comply with the provisions of the State enabling act. The ordinance that the Town of Burrillville adopted in the late 1980 s does not. He explained the changes that make this ordinance enforceable. It affects new development, on-going development and any existing site that could have run-off that would require some controls.
