SPECIAL MEETING of the Town Council held Monday, November 19, 2001 at 10:00 o clock a.m. in the Council Chamber, Town Building, 105 Harrisville Main St., Harrisville for and within the Town of Burrillville.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Council President Wallace F. Lees, Councilors Jacqueline Zahn, William A. Andrews, Louis Bleiweis, Edward F. Bonczek and William E. Gonyea. Councilor Norman C. Mainville arrived at 10:04 a.m.
MEMBERS ABSENT: Councilor Jacqueline Zahn, excused due to a work commitment.
1. Regarding the consideration of the following renewals of Alcoholic Beverage Licenses under provision of Title 3, Chapter 7, GENERAL LAWS of Rhode Island, 1956, as amended, for the period beginning December 1, 2001 and ending November 30, 2002, subject to:
A. Obtaining a Certificate of Good Standing from the State Division of Taxation prior to the date of said renewal, and
B. The payment of taxes owed to the Town of Burrillville, and
C. The establishment being in compliance with all state and local building and fire codes.
NOTE: Notice of the Special Meeting was duly advertised in the Legal Section of the Woonsocket Call on Wednesday, November 7, 2001and Monday, November 12, 2001. A correction of the advertisement was duly advertised on November 15, 2001 and November 19, 2001.
VOTED to read the business name only.
Councilor William A. Andrews made the motion. Councilor Louis Bleiweis seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous by the five members in attendance. Voting in favor of the motion were Town Council President Wallace F. Lees, Councilors William A. Andrews, Louis Bleiweis, Edward F. Bonczek and William E. Gonyea. Councilor Norman C. Mainville had not arrived at the time of this vote. Councilor Jacqueline Zahn was excused.

2. VOTED that the Class B (Victualer) and Class D (Full Privilege Liquor Licensees, be and they are hereby granted permission to remain open until 3:00 o clock a.m. on New Year s Day January 1, 2002 and no intoxicating liquor shall be sold after 2:00 o clock a.m. until the legal opening hours of January 1, 2002 and no dancing shall be permitted after 3:00 o clock a.m. on New Year s morning until the legal opening hour. Licensees who plan to remain open must notify the Chief of Police, Colonel Bernard E. Gannon on or before November 30, 2001.

VOTED to receive and open the request by Michael C. Wood, Town Manager, to unseal the minutes of all Executive Sessions related to the acquisition of tax assessors plat 177, lots 56, 55, 53 and 33.
Councilor William A. Andrews made the motion. Councilor Norman C. Mainville seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous by the six members in attendance. Voting in favor of the motion were Town Council President Wallace F. Lees, Councilors William A. Andrews, Louis Bleiweis, Edward F. Bonczek, William E. Gonyea and Norman C. Mainville. Councilor Jacqueline Zahn was excused.
Discussion: Michael C. Wood, Town Manager, stated that John P. Mainville, Finance Director, had been provided with the necessary information. It was not necessary to pursuit this request at this time. Michael C. Wood, Town Manager, withdrew the request.
VOTED to adjourn at 10:10 A.m.
