Special Council Meeting 11/04/2002 Board of Canvassers
SPECIAL MEETING of the Town Council held Monday, November 4, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. in the Council Chamber, Town Building, Harrisville for and within the Town of Burrillville.

MEMBERS PRESENT:  Council President Wallace F. Lees, Councilors William A. Andrews, Louis Bleiweis, Edward F. Bonczek, William E. Gonyea and Norman C. Mainville.

MEMBERS ABSENT: Councilor Jacqueline Zahn was excused due to a work commitment.

1.      VOTED to accept with regret the resignation of Christina May from the Burrillville Board of Canvassers.

Motion by Councilor Norman C. Mainville.  Seconded by Councilor William E. Gonyea.  The vote was unanimous by the six members present.  Voting in favor of the motion were Council President Wallace F. Lees, Councilors William A. Andrews, Louis Bleiweis, Edward F. Bonczek, William E. Gonyea and Norman C. Mainville.  Councilor Jacqueline Zahn was excused.

2.      Relative to discussing and acting upon an appointment to fill the vacancy on the Board of Canvassers created by the resignation of Christina May.

Council President Wallace F. Lees nominated Blanche L. Boisvert, 607 Mowry Street, Harrisville to the Burrillville Board of Canvassers to complete the unexpired term of Christina May; term to expire February 28, 2004.

Blanche L. Boisvert was appointed in a vote that was unanimous by the six members present.  Voting in favor of the motion were Council President Wallace F. Lees, Councilors William A. Andrews, Louis Bleiweis, Edward F. Bonczek, William E. Gonyea and Norman C. Mainville.  Councilor Jacqueline Zahn was excused.

3.      VOTED to grant the applications from Donald F. Forgue d/b/a Between The Cracks, for a victualing license and a 3-day entertainment license for a play; to apply at The Assembly Theatre, East Avenue, Harrisville on November 7, 8 & 9, 2002.

Motion by Councilor William E. Gonyea.  Seconded by Councilor Norman C. Mainville.  The vote was unanimous by the six members present.  Voting in favor of the motion were Council President Wallace F. Lees, Councilors William A. Andrews, Louis Bleiweis, Edward F. Bonczek, William E. Gonyea and Norman C. Mainville.  Councilor Jacqueline Zahn was excused.

4.      VOTED to adjourn at 10:05 a.m.

Motion by Councilor Norman C. Mainville.  Seconded by Councilor William E. Gonyea.  The vote was unanimous by the six members present.  Voting in favor of the motion were Council President Wallace F. Lees, Councilors William A. Andrews, Louis Bleiweis, Edward F. Bonczek, William E. Gonyea and Norman C. Mainville.  Councilor Jacqueline Zahn was excused.
