08-25-2004 Public Hearing - Millhouse Restaurant
PUBLIC HEARING of the Town Council held Wednesday, August 25, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber, Town Building, Harrisville for and within the Town of Burrillville.

MEMBERS PRESENT:  Councilors William A. Andrews, Louis Bleiweis, Edward F. Bonczek, Ronald E. Faford and William E. Gonyea.

MEMBERS ABSENT:  Council President Wallace F. Lees and Councilor Jacqueline Zahn were excused.


Application for new license to sell beverages under provisions of Title 3, Chapter 5, Section 17 and Title 3, Chapter 7, Section 6 of the General Laws of Rhode Island, 1956, as amended, for term ending November 30, 2004 from Chef’s Two LLC d/b/a Millhouse Restaurant in a building owned by Monfils Enterprises LLC (Assessor’s Map 160, Lot 79).

NOTE:  

Notice of the Public Hearing was duly advertised in the Legal Section of the Woonsocket Call on Saturday, August 20, 2004 and Tuesday, August 24, 2004.

Notice was sent to all abutting property owners by certified mail, as required by law.

A)      Report/recommendation of the Building Official.
B)      Report of the Chief of Police.
C)      Report/recommendation of the Fire Chief.

VOTED to accept reports.

Motion by Councilor Louis Bleiweis.  Seconded by Councilor William E. Gonyea.  The vote was unanimous by the five members present.  Voting in favor of the motion were Councilors William A. Andrews, Louis Bleiweis, Edward F. Bonczek, William E. Gonyea and Ronald E. Faford. Council President Wallace F. Lees and Councilor Jacqueline Zahn were excused.

The hearing of all interested parties in regard to the granting of this license. Note:  Persons who wish to address the Town Council shall state their name and address.

The applicant, Jeffrey Gavlik, stated his support.

Opponents:  

None

VOTED to close the public hearing.

Motion by Councilor Louis Bleiweis.  Seconded by Councilor William E. Gonyea.  The vote was unanimous by the five members present.  Voting in favor of the motion were Councilors William A. Andrews, Louis Bleiweis, Edward F. Bonczek, William E. Gonyea and Ronald E. Faford. Council President Wallace F. Lees and Councilor Jacqueline Zahn were excused.

Andrews, Louis Bleiweis, Edward F. Bonczek, William E. Gonyea and Ronald E. Faford. Council President Wallace F. Lees and Councilor Jacqueline Zahn were excused.
