SPECIAL MEETING of the Town Council of the Town of Burrillville to be held Thursday, February 16, 2006 at 6:00 p.m. in the Burrillville High School, 425 East Avenue, Harrisville.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Council President Wallace F. Lees; Councilors Jacqueline Zahn, William A. Andrews, Nancy F. Binns, Margaret L. Dudley, and Ronald E. Faford.
MEMBERS ABSENT: Councilor William E. Gonyea was excused due to illness.
ALSO PRESENT: School Committee Members Raymond Trinque and Joan Cote, Superintendent of School, and Benjamin M. Scungio, Esq.
1. VOTED to grant the request for Executive Session from Benjamin M. Scungio, Esq., Assistant Solicitor pursuant to Rhode Island Open Meeting Law [§42-46-5(a)(2)] for discussions with the School Committee related to negotiations of collective bargaining agreement(s).
Motion by Councilor Jacqueline Zahn. Seconded by Councilor Margaret L. Dudley. The motion was unanimous by those members present. Voting in favor of the motion were Council President Wallace F. Lees, Councilors Jacqueline Zahn, William A. Andrews, Nancy F. Binns, Margaret L. Dudley and Ronald E. Faford. Councilor William E. Gonyea was excused due to illness.
The Council returned to open session at 7:32 p.m.
VOTED to seal the minutes of executive session, noting that no votes had been taken.
Motion by Councilor Jacqueline Zahn. Seconded by Councilor Margaret L. Dudley. The motion was unanimous by those members present. Voting in favor of the motion were Council President Wallace F. Lees, Councilors Jacqueline Zahn, William A. Andrews, Nancy F. Binns, Margaret L. Dudley and Ronald E. Faford. Councilor William E. Gonyea was excused due to illness.
