1-9 Noise

Please explain why is there no mention of the potential noise impact during normal startup and shut down in the noise section of the permit application.

RESPONSE:

 

Invenergy considered noise during start up and shut down to be a transient condition. The start and shut down plant design and expected noise levels that would result from those operating scenarios are dependent upon the Power Island equipment supplier, which had not been selected at that time. The specification for the Power Island (“PI”) equipment included requirements related to the noise levels; however, Invenergy needed specific design details from the bidders and the selected PI supplier in order to fully determine expected noise for this mode of operation. It was always our intent to provide this information when it was available.
