Is Invenergy proposing in any supplemental environmental projects that would be in addition to the typical regulatory requirements, such as enhanced wetlands and wildlife habitat restoration/replication in the vicinity of the proposed development?
Invenergy Thermal Development LLC (“Invenergy”), in coordination with Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (“RIDEM”) and the United States Army Corp of Engineering (“ACOE”), will develop a Wetlands Mitigation Plan to compensate for all unavoidable direct, indirect and secondary wetland impacts from the Clear River Energy Center (“CREC”), as is required by the ACOE. The Plan will include one or more of the following within the affected watershed in the required compensatory mitigation ratios:
- proposed wetland restoration,
- creation,
- enhancement, and/or
- preservation measures.
