Does the Burrillville Sewage Treatment Plant have the technology to properly treat this waste water or is it going to be dumping contaminates into the river? If it will be dumping without treatment, will this further contaminate the land all the way
The BWWTF has the technology to properly treat the CREC wastewater stream. Invenergy will apply for an Industrial Wastewater Discharge Permit from the BWWTF, which includes effluent discharge limits to ensure that the CREC wastewaters will not adversely impact the BWWTF or the receiving water body. Both initially and on an ongoing basis, sampling of the CREC wastewater discharge is necessary to ensure that the effluent limits established in the permit are being met.
