22-4 Waste Water

Water Supply Plan - Johnston

22-4 Under the water plan, is it correct that you now propose an Onsite Wastewater Treatment System ("OWTS") to treat wastewater from the office and domestic spaces? Do you agree that this will require an OWTS permit through RIDEM? Is there any potential for treated process wastewater to be introduced to this system? Please explain the details.

RESPONSE 22-4

Yes, Invenergy now proposes an Onsite Wastewater Treatment System (OWTS) to treat wastewater from the office and domestic spaces, and a new OWTS permit is required from the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM). No process water will be sent to this system as all other plant systems are physically separated and not connected to the OWTS.
