Will there be traffic impacts?
Invenergy claims that the Clear River Energy Center (CREC) will create 300 jobs during the estimated three-year construction phase of the project. How does this potentially impact traffic to and from the location of the project – Wallum Lake Road and Algonquin Way?
The most likely scenario: CREC will be required to perform a formal traffic study evaluating all the potential impacts. This should include traffic impacts during construction and traffic if the plant becomes operational. The Town has traffic experts on board who will evaluate and verify the information provided by CREC.
