The Town Council continues to monitor the information available to evaluate the Clear River Energy Center project. There is a great deal of information and complexity associated with a project of this size and scope. The Town will be hiring experts in the areas of air emissions, noise, water quality, traffic and other specialized areas associated with this type of project.

According to Rhode Island state law, a good portion, if not all, of these expenses should be paid by the power plant company. No strings attached!

The Town Council has a lot of information to review and weigh. Working with our experts, the Town Council should be able to properly evaluate the project and come to an informed decision on the viability of this project for our community.

The Town of Burrillville posts news and announcements related to the proposed power plant project on the town website on a regular basis. Subscribe to this news by following this link.
