EFSB Hears Burrillville Motions

The Town is extremely disappointed that the EFSB today refused our request for a 45-day postponement regarding our motion to dismiss. We requested the postponement so we would be able to review, evaluate and provide input on Invenergy’s revised water plan. The plan is distinctly different from what Invenergy originally proposed  - in revised plant processes, the amount of water needed, the way water is delivered, the method in which it is used, and the way in which waste water is disposed of.  These changes could significantly impact traffic, emissions, chemical storage, safety and plant operations.

The plan has no meaningful information on the impact that increased traffic will have on safety, accidents, and fatalities within Burrillville along with the proposed travel routes.

The Town is asking Invenergy for answers to over 50 critical questions to determine the ramifications of the new Invenergy plan.
