Recreation Program Information:

• Art Classes- Next session begins February 1st at Levy.
• Boot Camp – Bootcamp classes had a total of 130 participants through the month of December. Due to
popularity instructor added an additional kettlebell boot camp class on Monday mornings at 5:15am.
• Burrillville Weekend Snack Pack Program – $600 was raised from the Taco Shop Fundraiser and an
additional $691 received in donations in December. Next packing session to be held on February 15th.
• Facebook- Posted Thank you flyer to all. Updated boot camp schedule.
• Holiday Card Contest- Purchased five $40 gift cards for a needy family at Callahan with money raised
from the holiday cards
• Multi-Sport Classes- Flyers for next session to be distributed next week.
• Parks and Rec Calendars/Newsletters/Website- January Calendars posted.
• Photography Class – Second session to be offered in the Spring.
• Sunshine Club– December meeting had 8 volunteers who made 42 gifts. Next meeting scheduled for January 23rd.

Report on Dog Park and Dog pound:
-Dog Park in permit phase, in final design stages for dog pound

Report on Recreation Expansion Plan :
-No new updates

Recreation Department Master Plan
-Looking for idea for Hauser Field

New Business
Review Maps of Parks in Burrillville
-Commission reviewed maps and brochures design by local college student for towns parks, etc
