Water Distribution/Delivery Schedule

Testing has been completed on the the residences within 1/4 mile radius of the Oakland Association well, and those houses that have tested positive have been notified.

Water will be delivered to those homes that tested positive. If those people do not get their delivery, run out of water, or some other emergency they may pick up water at the Oakland Mapleville Fire station located at 46 Oakland School Street, Oakland.  The fire station is usually staffed 24/7, except during a rescue or fire call.

There will no longer be water available at the Burrillville Police Station.

Alternatively, those residents can get water from the Harrisville Fire District office, 115 Central Street, or the Harrisville Fire Department, 201 Callahan School Street:

  • Bring your own water containers
  • Outdoor spigot available 24 hours each day
  • Follow the signs

We'll continue to post water the pick up schedule as it is developed.

Residents whose water source has tested positive have had watered delivered.

  • Future deliveries of the bottled water, to the effected residents only, will be made every two weeks.
  • They will get 3 bottles each delivery.
  • There is no need to call to schedule delivery times. 
  • People do not have to be home.
  • People should leave any empty bottles outside so they can pick them up when they deliver. 
  • If people run out of water before the next delivery, they can get water from the Oakland Mapleville fire station.
