SCAM ALERT!!!!!
Residents of Burrillville please be aware of a scam that has targeted residents over the last several days. It has been reported that a phone call is made from someone who states they are from the Internal Revenue Service and they have "serious charges" against the homeowner. They then request a call back number and ask you pay the fine over the phone. This is a scam as the IRS will not conduct business this way. Please be vigilant and don't hesitate to contact the station if you ever receive this type of call.
