Planning
Planning Department Mission and Responsibilities:
- Implementation of the Town’s Comprehensive Plan, Subdivision and Land Use Regulations, Code of Ordinances Chapter 30 Zoning and Rhode Island General Laws Chapter 45 Towns and Cities.
- Review subdivision and land development projects/plans and offer an opinion and/or decision in compliance with governing and regulatory documents.
- Serves as staff to Planning Board, Burrillville Redevelopment Agency and Town Council.
- Prepare Federal and State grant applications for local capital projects to include: open space, recreation, capital improvement and community development initiatives.
- Generates and maintains financial tracking reports, and other reports as required, for all grant projects and submits to the appropriate granting agency for reimbursement of locally expended general funds.
- Perform other work and review of local development projects as assigned by the Town Manger.
