*Boot Camp – Bootcamp has 846 participants in the month of April.
*Burrillville Weekend Snack Pack Program – 34 students are currently participating.
Donations continue to come in. Designed a new logo to have printed on bags and
advertise at the Family Fair.
*Earth Day Cleanup – Event was a success with 226 volunteers and 4.17 tons of litter
collected.
*Earth Day/Energy Conservation Poster Contest – Awards ceremony was held last week
at the Jesse Smith Library
*Facebook/Newsletters/Website- May calendar posted. Earth Day pictures posted.
Family Fair invite and digital photography flyer posted.
*Family Fair- Working on trifold flyer and map/layout. Received RI novelty donations. 22
registrations have been received to date. Food trucks confirmed. Ordered giveaway
bags. Fencing, bootcamp, kids yoga demonstrations scheduled. Marshall from Paw
Patrol will be there. Scheduled for June 16th with a rain date of June23rd. Requested
detail officer, car seat checks, RI novelty donations, state BAT mobile. Signs dropped off.
Email invite went out. 21 registrations to date. Two demonstrations scheduled, music
confirmed, animal affair petting zoo and maxman confirmed. Face painters confirmed.
Levy building use form approved. Completed raffle paperwork.
*Forever Fit – averaging 12 people per class
*Itty Biddy Sports – 4 students have enrolled.
*Multisport – 17 students registered for Levy.
*Safe Sitter – 8 students participated in the class.
*Senior Meal Site – Exploring the possibility of bringing back the Senior Meal program.
Spoke with the Woonsocket director of senior services regarding the possibility of
reinstating it at the Lodge. We have 2 volunteers interested in helping to run it. Planning
to run a survey via email and Bargain Buyer to gauge if there is any interest in the
community.
*Summer Meal Program – meeting scheduled with Berean Baptist and representative
from RIDE to discuss the possibility of a summer meal program.
*Summer Programs– 2 weeks of Multisport, one week hoops, 2 weeks of art, one week
archery and 6 week tennis camps scheduled.
*Sunshine Club– April meeting had 10 volunteers that made 27 gifts. Next meeting
scheduled for May 21st for 31 gifts.

P ossibility of moving monthly meeting to Jesse Smith Library

Upcoming 2018 Season at Spring Lake Beach with Judy Lopez, Beach Manager
-Burrillville Historical Society will have grand opening of Spring Lake Beach museum, this
will be open to the public.
-Champlain Hall has limited days left for reservations
-Free entry now offered to ages 3 and under
-There will be more web cameras installed for security
-Discussed problem with season passes and using one pass for multiple parties
-Smoking area has become an issue, discussed moving it closer to office
-Discussed outdoor volleyball & badminton courts
-New kayaks have been purchased for 2018 season
-Discussed issues with people fishing too close to the swimming area
-Discussed issue with neighbor hitting golf balls in to the beach area
