Follow-up Community Meeting Regarding

Drinking Water in Oakland

A follow-up community meeting about the drinking water in Oakland will be held on:

Monday, October 23, 2017 

6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Burrillville Middle School Auditorium

2220 Bronco Hwy (Route 102), Burrillville

Officials from the Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH), Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (DEM), and the Town of Burrillville will provide updates on:

  • What is being done to address the elevated levels
  • Sampling of private wells in the area
  • The state’s preliminary site investigation
  • Bottled water distribution

We will send more updates later this week as they become available from the DEM and DOH.
