The document index and images from July 1966 to present are now available online.  The default date shown in advanced search is the certification date, this means that the documents have not gone through the verification and certification process. The information is current, just as it is here in the office. You can view land evidence at no charge. In order to download or print, please see notice below.

Important Notice: A subscription can be purchased by clicking the 'Register' link in the upper right corner of the website. These are the subscription options:

• Casual Access - No recurring fee, watermarked preview allowed, document download or email incurs $4.00 per page fee, purchase history is available for review.
• Subscriber - 1 year subscription , $75.00 per year fee is only charged when website is used (no auto-renewal), watermarked preview is available, document download or email will incur $1.50 per page fee, purchase history is available for review.

Land evidence is not recorded during the last half hour of each day, following is the schedule for recording land evidence:

*NEW* Trade Name Registrations- As of 12/2/2025, Trade Name registrations will no longer be filed with the Town of Burrillville. All Trade Name registrations will be filed through a centralized filing system at the Rhode Island Department of State. Please us this link for more information.   

Recording fees
The fees for recording land evidence are set by the State of RI according to RIGL §34-13-7.

Following is a list of some basics document fees.  Please note that these fees include the state and local historical records fees ($4.00 each document).  All fees are for the first page only, an additional dollar ($1.00) is charged for each additional page.

Deeds - $84.00
Mortgages- $64.00
Discharges - $49.00
Bills of Sale -$49.00

In accordance with RIGL §34-13-9, recording officers shall charge $1.50 per page and $3.00 for certifying the record of any instrument.
