Burrillville reaches out to Johnston

The Burrillville Town Council has taken a strong position asking the Energy Facility Siting  Board to deny the application of Invenergy Thermal Development LLC. The carefully thought-out decision was based on the reports of credentialed professionals who studied noise, water, traffic and air quality, among others. And on the Burrillville Planning Board and Zoning Board of Review advisory opinions that Burrillville, RI is not a suitable site for the the Clear River Energy Center.

Today, the Johnston Town Council will be considering a resolution ratifying and authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Water Supply and Economic Development Agreement between the Town and Clear River Energy, LLC. The Town of Burrillville has reached out to the Johnston Town Council, offering comprehensive information and support to aid them in reaching the right decision.
