Energy Facility Siting Board

The Energy Facility Siting Board will conduct final hearings regarding the Invenergy Thermal Development LLC’s application to construct The Clear River Energy Center in Burrillville, Rhode Island – Docket No. SB-2015-06 on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 beginning at 9:00 AM in Hearing Room A of the Public Utilities Commission office building, 89 Jefferson Boulevard, Warwick, Rhode Island. Pursuant to Rules 1.8(a) and 1.18(c), the hearing will continue from day to day, time to time, and place to place, as required. The hearing will be streamed live at the following web address: www.ustream.tv/channel/WqQyXw296dg. Per Rule 1.10(d)(1), the deadline to file and serve motions for intervention in this docket is Friday, October 20, 2017.

The hearing is being held in accordance with R.I. Gen. Laws §§ 42-98-11(a) through (c), which requires the Board to conduct a final hearing on applications. The purpose of the final hearing is not to rehear the evidence that was presented in hearings before designated agencies, but rather to provide the opportunity to address -- in a single forum, and from a consolidated, statewide prospective -- the issues reviewed and the recommendations made in the proceedings before the designated agencies.
