Recreation Program Information:

-Art Classes Additional art class being offered at SFE on 11/30 for 4 weeks due to high demand. 11
students have registered for the extended art classes.
-Boot Camp New classes being offered at the Lodge on Wednesdays at 5pm, Friday at 6pm and
Sunday at 7am and Monday 5:15am. Bootcamp classes include tabata strength exercises, body weight
exercises as well as various equipment including tires, battle ropes, hand weights, slam balls etc.
Classes are $5 each. Instructor has been averaging 10 participants per class.
-Burrillville Weekend Snack Pack Program – Santa Event raised $483 through raffle proceeds and
donations. 16 volunteers enjoyed coffee and donuts (courtesy of Dan’s Management) and received a
small gift at our last packing session. Next packing session to be planned for February. Wallum Lake Rod

and Gun Club donated an enormous amount of food to help increase the amount sent home prior to
Thanksgiving and Christmas break. Zambarano has agreed to be a drop off location for donations and is
going to encourage staff to participate. Seed fundraiser brought in $495.
-Facebook- Posted info on upcoming Holiday Events, Taco Shop fundraiser, new Boot Camp classes,
multisport vacation camp, and the winter newsletter.
-Fencing – 9 students registered for fencing.
-Forever Fit – Average attendance for the month of November was 15 participants per class.
-Gazebo – Harrisville Fire Department put up the tree and decorated the gazebo with lights.
-Healthier Fit Lifestyle- Instructor putting program on hold until the spring.
-Parks and Rec Calendars/Newsletters/Website- December Calendars posted and Winter Program Flyers
were delivered.
-Photography Class – Second session to be offered in the Spring.
-Santa Calling – 40 children have signed up for the Santa Calling Program and 5 Santas have
volunteered. Phone calls have been completed.
-Santa at Stillwater – Event was a huge success with approximately 1800 people in attendance.
-School Vacation Fun – December multisport program scheduled for December 27, 28 and 29 at WLC
from 9am-12pm.
-Sunshine Club– Next Sunshine Club meeting scheduled for December 12th to make 25 birthday gifts.
The meeting on the 12th will also include coffee and pastry in appreciation of all of their efforts
throughout the year. November meeting had 5 volunteers who made 25 gifts.
-Walk Fit and Live Active- Instructor to offer the program outdoors in the Spring at the Pavilion.

-Still in design process, going for DEM permit
