Burrillville Interconnect Project

National Grid has notified Burrillville town officials that it is beginning a process of securing a right of way to construct the infrastructure to support the possible Invenergy project. The Burrillville Interconnection Project is a proposed 6.8-mile 345kV transmission line that would bring electricity from the Clear River Energy Center into the electric grid at National Grid’s switching station. National Grid states that the Burrillville Interconnection Project will be built only if the Clear River Energy Center is approved.

National Grid is planning to start handing out informational leaflets to residents during the coming week. Attached is a copy of one of the documents they are distributing. They also plan an open house later in the month at a date to be determined.

National Grid is posting information on their website set up for this project. Please continue to monitor this information and send your questions and comments to the Town of Burrillville.

Documents have been filed with the Energy Facility Siting Board. When docketed, they willl be posted online at the EFSB website.
