The emergency parking ban is expected to be lifted at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, January 28, 2015.
Please be advised that the regular Winter Parking Ban will stay in effect. From the Burrillville Town Ordinances: Sec. 26-29. - Overnight parking prohibited from November 1 to March 31. No person shall park a vehicle upon any of the streets in the town between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m., from November 1 to March 31, inclusive.
The travel ban has been lifted.
Downed Power Lines or Trees
If you encounter downed power lines do not under any circumstances go near them. Call National Grid or Pascoag Utility District to take care of them.
If you encounter downed trees on roads (and power lines are not involved) call Department of Public Works at 568-4440 for Town roads, and State Department of Transportation at 568-5373 for State roads.
To report power outages call Pascoag Utility District at 568-6222 or National Grid at (800) 322-3223.
Trash and Recycling
There will be no trash or recycling pick up for Tuesday and Wednesday, please hold your trash and recycling until next week. Excess trash and recycling that does not fit in the carts can be placed in a bag or another container next to the appropriate cart and Waste Management will pick it up on your regular collection day (Tuesday, February 3 or Wednesday, February 4). Town overflow bags are not necessary.
This week’s Thursday and Friday routes will be collected on Thursday and Friday according to the normal schedule.
The Whipple Ave. Recycling and Compost Facility will be closed on Wednesday, January 28.
