Minimum Requirements
• Must possess a High School Diploma or Equivalent
• College credits preferred
• Must be a United States Citizen
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Must be 21 years of age, upon graduation of the Rhode Island Municipal Police Training Academy

Salary & Benefits
- Current Probationary Officer Rate: $70,484
- Senior Patrol Officer Rate (after 1 year of being Sworn): $74,177
- 5.5% Longevity (After 5 years of Service, with Increases to 11% after 20 Years)
- 13 Holidays
- 5 Personal Days
- 8 Vacation Days (First year of Service), 10 Vacation Days (after first year), 20 Vacations Days (after 5 years), 23 Vacation Days (after 10 years), 25 Vacation Days (after fifteen years)
