Budget Board

The Budget Board receives and examines all estimates for capital and operating expenditures submitted by the departments, commissions, offices and agencies of town government, including the School Department.  They hold hearings to provide opportunity for explanation and justification of budget requests and for citizens to address the Board. As part of the annual budget process, the Budget Board submits its recommendations to the Town Manager regarding all the requests for appropriations which have been submitted for its review. Members are appointed by Town Council according to Town Charter. Meetings are held weekly during Budget season which runs from January through March.
