Important Election Dates
August 10, 2024: Registration
Deadline to register to vote in order to be eligible to vote in the Statewide Primary. Register to vote online at vote.ri.gov. You may also request a paper registration and return to the Board of Canvassers or use our drop box.
August 10, 2026: Disaffiliation
Persons intending to vote in a primary must either be registered under that party or disaffiliated from any other political party (if a member).
August 19, 2026: Mail Ballots
Deadline for voters to apply for a mail ballot. You may now apply for a mail ballot online using the mail ballot portal by visiting vote.sos.ri.gov. You may also track your mail ballot using this link. *New* permanent mail ballot applications are now available to any voter, click here for the application.
August 20, 2026-September 8, 2026
Early voting begins. Early voting will take place at the American Legion Hall next door to Town Hall. Voting will take place during Town Hall normal business hours.
Unless noted otherwise, 4:00 p.m. is the deadline for all election-related due dates.

Board of Canvassers Members:
As provided in the Burrillville Town Charter, there is a bipartisan canvassing authority elected by the Town Council as provided by the Constitution and laws of the State. The canvassing authority is known as the "Board of Canvassers and Registration", and is vested with all the powers and duties now or hereafter vested by law in such canvassing authority.
Board of Canvassers meetings are scheduled as-needed at the call of the Chair.
